Data

The format of the wave data can be specified as

·         Constant

·         Varying in time, constant in domain

·         Varying in time, varying in space (only for Coastline evolution)

For the case with waves varying in time but constant in domain, you have to prepare a data file containing the wave conditions before you setup the simulation. The data file must be a time series file (dfs0). The data must cover the complete simulation period. In case the Time specification is not defined as Real-time the scenario events will be correlated according to the time step position in the data file.

For the case with waves varying in both time and along the coastline you have to prepare a data file containing the wave conditions along a line before you setup the simulation. The data file must be a profile series file (dfs1). The first and last point of the line are mapped to the first and last grid point of the coastline and the intermediate values are found by linear interpolation. The data must cover the complete simulation period. In case the Time specification is not defined as Real-time the scenario events will be correlated according to the time step position in the data file.
