Grading coefficient

For graded sand, you must specify the grading coefficient of the material in each grid point of the cross-shore profile. The grading coefficient, sg, is spec­ified by the shape of the grain curve:

where d84 and d16 represent fractiles on the grain curve.

The grading coefficient can be specified in two ways

·         Constant

·         Varying in domain (for Littoral drift only)

For the case with values varying in domain, you have to prepare a data file containing the grading coefficient. The file must be a line series file with the same grid spacing and number of grid points as the cross-shore profile.
