Transport capacity

It is possible to modify the transport tables so that the calculation only consid­ers the inner part of a transport profile. This is in particular of interest when a coastline is protected by short groynes that do not extend across the surf zone.

The extension is defined as the distance from the actual coastline.

Transport gradient

It is possible to stabilise the simulation result by modifying the Q-a curve. However, this has the effect that the sediment transport for incoming waves from oblique angles (>45 deg.N) will be over-estimated, see Figure 5.23.
