For wave simulations in tidal areas, it is important that the correct water level is used in the simulation. This will ensure that the changes in wave and current conditions due to varying water depths resulting from the tides are properly modelled. The water level condition can be specified in two different ways
· No water level variation
· Specified water level variation
When selecting the Specified water level variation option, you must specify the water level. Otherwise the water level is assumed to be 0.
In case your calculation mode is Transport in point the value of the water level is added to the local water depth in the point. Otherwise the water level describes the mean water level at deep water relative to the base level for the cross-shore profile.
