Return flow connections may be assigned a flow capacity [Volume per time] that can never be exceeded.
To add a flow capacity time series, enable ‘has flow capacity’, click the button and click Browse... to select an existing flow capacity time series or click on Create a new file… to open the Create a new file dialogue.
The flow capacity overrules all other rules that may try to force more water through the connection.
If the flow capacity of a return flow connection is reached, the model will attempt to force the water in alternative direction. If this is not possible, the simulation will terminate with a message.
