The sediment transport (ST) module enable the computation of cohesive and non-cohesive sediment transport, morphological changes and alluvial resistance changes of a river system. The ST module requires input from the hydrodynamic module, varying in time and space. When morphological changes are included in the simulation, the ST module also affects in return the hydrodynamic simulation.
Transport of suspended sediments uses the Advection-Dispersion equation from the AD module. For this reason, dispersion values defined in the Advection-Dispersion parameters menu are also used by the ST module.
