Analysis parameters
The model water depth is as default taken from the input file as this depth has been used for synthesis of the digital absorption filters. If the actual water depth for some reason is different you must enter the correct model water depth. Deviations between default and actual water depth will result in a decreased wavemaker performance.
The servo delay of wavemaker system should generally be adjusted to 50ms at prior to testing. Hence, the digital absorption filter presumes a delay of 50ms and deviations will reduce the efficiency of the AWACS system. You can evaluate the effect of an incorrect adjustment of the servo delay by entering the actual servo delay.
All measurements in the input file are stored in model scale. Output parameters may be scaled to prototype by entering the proper model scale.
