Cut-off frequencies

The cut-off frequencies determine the frequency range for which the spectra and spectral results are calculated.

Minimum frequency

The minimum cut-off frequency must be greater than or equal to zero.

Maximum frequency

The maximum cut-off frequency must be less than or equal to the Nyquist frequency, which is determined entirely by the sampling frequency WsLinearSpectralAnalysisDialogs00006.jpg of the input data:

Here WsLinearSpectralAnalysisDialogs00012.jpg is the time step of the input data. If the value is out of range a warning is issued and the invalid maximum cut-off frequency is automatically adjusted to the Nyquist frequency.
