2.1           Adding charts

When BlueCast is opened, you will see a number of dropdowns and a button to add charts:

In the dropdown Area name you will see the Areas that have been set up for this project; there will be one or more points associated with this area, that decide the actual data. Only an Administrator of the system will be able to setup additional points (see chapter 3).

The dropdowns Hindcast length and Forecast length determine which data (from which dates) will be shown in the chart that you add.

Hindcast length determines the number of days the data is shown from the past.

Forecast length determines the number of days the data is forecast based on DHI models.

Measurement data are only visible in the past (as they are from actual measurements, not from forecast models).

Change the Hindcast and Forecast dropdowns to the desired options, then click the button

A new chart will be added, looking similar to the below one. The dropdowns at the top don’t affect already added charts.

The vertical grey line shows the most recent time at which the meteorological models started forecasting.

You can repeat this process multiple times to add multiple charts.
